Items and Prices Advertised on our Web site

  1. Pricing is Subjected to change without prior Notice.
  2. Pricing for most equipment is subjected to Rand / Dollar exchange rate.
  3. Images for Items advertised may very from the actual product.
  4. Bluepoint Africa carries small quantities of stock on all items advertised and delivery is subjected to availability.
  5. Pricing and delivery of all equipment is subjected to an official quotation and will not be delivered unless a quotation have been signed off by the client.
  6. All Items advertised on our web site is advertised at a special discounted price and not additional discount will be allowed.

Quotations

  1. Quotations are valid for 7 days.
  2. Components not collected within 30 days from date of first notification will be subjected to a storage fee of 5 % of the components replacement value, per month.
  3. An assessment fee at the current rate will be charged for all components booked in to the workshop that needs to be repaired and/or serviced, should the repair/service quotation be rejected.
  4. All quotations excludes at the current rate unless quoted or otherwise stipulated.
  5. Note that all Terms for service contracts or rental contracts are excluded from this credit facility awarded and that all invoices will be processed for rental or service agreements on the first (1ST) of each month.
  6. These invoices would have to be settled on or before three (3) days from date of process.

Warranty

  1. 1 year warranty will be supplied for all hardware purchased from Bluepoint Africa.
  2. Software carries No Warranty.
  3. Refurbished components carry a 30 day warranty.
  4. Warranty related calls for labour invoiced would have to be logged within 48 working hours from date and time that the service was delivered and/or received.

Work Delivered

  1. Client to report warranty related call within 48 working hours from date & time of Delivery.
  2. 1 Year warranty on all Hardware, No Warranty on Software, 30 Days on Repairs, 30 Days on Refurbished Components.
  3. An assessment fee will be charged for all components and/or items booked in to the workshop for strip & quote.
  4. By signing the delivery Job card, The client acknowledges that all components collected and/or delivered was found and received in good working order.
  5. Components not collected within 30 days from date of first notification will be subjected to a storage fee of 5 % of the components replacement value, per month.
  6. The client will ensure that should a cash payment be made the cash receipt section on the Job card is filled out and the Job card is kept as proof of payment.

Data Recovery Level 1

  1. The client acknowledge that he is the legal owner, representative or otherwise has legitimate rights to the property and all data contained therein sent to Bluepoint Africa.
  2. The agreement signed should also stipulate that the data recovery will be done at level 1 and should no data be recoverable from the source supplied by the client, the advanced made payment will be none refundable.
  3. Level 1 repair has a minimum of 24 hours and a maximum of 36 hours for completion.
  4. Pricing excludes all spares needed for the data recovery.
  5. These additional costs will be presented as per official quote.

Data Recovery Level 2

  1. The Agreement which is entered into and accepted between BPA Computers cc T/A Bluepoint Africa (hereinafter referred to as BPA) and the Client, agree that the following terms and conditions will cover all goods and services provided by Bluepoint Africa for this engagement.
  2. The Client authorizes Bluepoint Africa to send the data or media to a data recovery company specializing in data recovery to conduct an evaluation of the media or data to determine the nature of the damage and provide a quotation for the recovery thereof, timing and estimated success rate.
  3. The agreement also stipulates that the data recovery will be done at level 2 and should no data be recoverable from the source supplied by the client the amount paid in advance will be none refundable.
  4. Additional charges will also apply if recovery is successful.
  5. Facsimile signatures for this Agreement and any subsequent exhibits are effective to bind the signing party and are admissible in any court and or for any lawful purpose.
  6. The agreement together with any exhibits or attachments constitutes the entire Agreement between the parties in relation to this subject matter.
  7. Similarly, approval of this Agreement through E-mail shall also be legally binding.
  8. The CLIENT acknowledges that he is the legal owner, representative or otherwise has legitimate rights to the property and all data contained therein sent to Bluepoint Africa.
  9. Any property left with Bluepoint Africa unclaimed for 90 days will be disposed of and Bluepoint Africa shall have no liability to the client or any third party.
  10. Bluepoint Africa shall not be liable for any claims regarding the physical functioning of the equipment/media or the condition or existence of data stored on the media supplied before, during or after services.
  11. In no event will Bluepoint Africa be liable for any loss of data or loss of revenue or profits before, during or after services even if Bluepoint Africa has been advised of the possibility of damages or loss to persons or property.
  12. Bluepoint Africa's liability of any kind with respect to the services, including any negligence on its part, shall be only limited to the contract price for the services.
  13. The Client and Bluepoint Africa agree that the sole and exclusive remedy for unsatisfactory work or data shall be at Bluepoint Africa's sole discretion, additional attempts by Bluepoint Africa to recover satisfactory data or issue a refund of the amount paid by the client.
  14. The Client is aware of the inherent risks of damage to media that is involved when undergoing data recovery process, including without limitation, risks due to destruction or damage to the media and/or data stored and inability to recover data, or inaccurate or incomplete data recovery, including those that may result from the negligence of Bluepoint Africa, and assumes any and all known property damage that may result.
  15. The Client acknowledges that the equipment/data/media may be damaged prior to Bluepoint Africa's receipt, and the Client further acknowledges that the efforts of Bluepoint Africa and/or its suppliers to complete the engagement may result in the destruction of or further damage to the equipment /data/ media.
  16. Bluepoint Africa for itself and its suppliers does not assume responsibility for additional damage that may occur to the Client's Equipment/Data/Media during or as a result of Bluepoint Africa's efforts to complete the engagement.
  17. Bluepoint Africa will use any Information provided by the Client only for the purpose of fulfilling the engagement and will use its best efforts to hold the Client's information in the strictest confidence.
  18. Confidentiality shall not apply to any information which entered the public domain through no fault of BPA, which was known to Bluepoint Africa prior to receipt from the Client, which is disclosed to Bluepoint Africa by a third party (other than employees or agents of either party), which in making such information available to Bluepoint Africa is not a violation of any confidentiality obligation to the disclosing party; or which is independently developed by Bluepoint Africa without recourse to the Client's information.
  19. The Client agrees to pay Bluepoint Africa all sums authorized from time to time by the Client, which will include charges for Bluepoint Africa's services, if any, for parts, media and/or off-the-shelf software used in the Engagement.
  20. Unless otherwise agreed to in advance by Bluepoint Africa in writing, all sums are due and payable prior to release of the equipment/data/media by cheque, direct transfer, bank money order, or credit card.
  21. In the event that there are any unpaid charges, the Client grants Bluepoint Africa a security interest in and to the equipment/data/media to secure the payment of the charges incurred here under, which if unpaid, shall after the due date bear interest at the rate of 2% per month (24% per annum).

Terms & Conditions for COD Job cards & Invoices

  1. No credit facility will be awarded to the approved COD account.
  2. Should the account not be settled within the agreed time frame as per the approved Credit facility, Bluepoint Africa's internal system will not allow new Job cards to be processed. Overdue amounts would have to be settled before any new work can commence.
  3. Late payments on the account may result in the termination of your credit facility.
  4. All amounts on Job cards exceeding the approved credit facility on the account would have to be settled on a COD basis.
  5. A deposit for all proposed quotation amounts exceeding the approved credit facility is required before the Job will be started.
  6. The Cash receipt section on the Job card must be filled out, should the Job card be settled on completion of the Job.
  7. The Job card must be kept as proof of payment.
  8. A deposit for any proposed amount on quotations and/or Job cards more R 1000.00 including Vat is required before the job will be started.
  9. Amounts for repairs and/or proposed quotations not exceeding R 1000.00 including Vat, will not require a deposit.
  10. The account balance must be settled immediately with sign-off of the job card.
  11. If the account is not settled immediately, a debit order form must be signed for the balance of the job card.
  12. The balance of the job card will be deducted from your account the following day.
  13. Should the Terms & Conditions not be met for the COD account your account status will be changed from COD to Cash up Front without prior notice.
